  1. University of Nevada-Reno

    Reno, NV




    The University of Nevada-Reno (UNR) has served students of the state for 143 years. Its 22,000 students access 4,500 online classes through the WebCampus learning management system. Online classes and degrees fall within the 365 Learning program.

    The Nevada Advantage program provides tuition discounts to students from participating states and U.S. territories. Another program under the same link, Western Undergraduate Exchange, uses similar criteria. Both apply to four consecutive years for incoming freshmen.

    Program Features

    At this time, only certain degree programs can be completed online. A minor in Addiction Treatment Services remains available to all students.

  2. University of Nevada-Las Vegas

    Las Vegas, NV




    The University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) offers 12 degrees or certificates online. In addition, 200 courses run fully online or partial-online/partial-campus (hybrid).     Program Features

    Master's, Doctoral, and Post-Doctoral nursing programs include a Doctor of Nursing Practice and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Biobehavioral Nursing. All six nursing degrees and certificates link from the Programs page.

  3. Nevada State College

    Henderson, NV




    Founded in 2002, Nevada State College (NSC) now enrolls 3,700 students. The online student resource page provides links to the bookstore, library, and tutoring. Other links include disability resources, veteran and military student services, and technical support. The tech support team operates Monday through Friday during normal business hours.

    Program Features

    The only fully online degree is the RN to BSN, which ranks the number one BSN in Nevada. Students take 36 credit hours and finish in 12 months. The admissions page lists the states authorizing Nevada State College to enroll their residents.

    Hybrid (partial-online, partial-campus) degrees from Nevada State College:

    The NSC-WNC (Western Nevada College) Partnership lets students with an Associate of Arts degree take NSC classes for their Bachelors of Elementary Education or Special Education. Classes are simulcast live or presented online. The goal of the program is to supply qualified teachers to rural northern schools.

  4. University of Phoenix-Nevada

    Las Vegas, NV




    Classes at the University of Phoenix-Nevada last five to six weeks. New classes begin every five weeks. Students may apply life experiences as credit hours. The admissions page covers undergraduate and graduate admissions.

    The 146 fields of study offered fully online include more than 30 Bachelor's degrees. There are 33 Associate of Arts programs. The Program Guide lists programs available by zip code.

    With no wait lists and classes starting every eight weeks, Chamberlain understands your needs. The college receives accreditation from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The school is licensed by the state of Nevada.
