Each of these factors were weighted equally in our ranking and data was derived from a variety of publicly available sources, including U.S. News & World Report, the National Center for Education Statistics, and PayScale .

Nearly 11,733 students call Notre Dame home, and of those 8,371 are pursuing undergraduate degrees with more than 93 percent of students identify as Christian, with over 80 percent of the total being Catholic. The school offers a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees and very low 10:1 student/faculty ratio.
