Overview
Founded in 1881, the University of Connecticut is one of the top public research universities in the nation. It has four regional campuses (Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, and Waterbury) and over 30,000 students that are enrolled in the universitys undergraduate, graduate, professional, and doctorate degrees. UConn is proud to boast its athletic achievements as a Division I sports campus, as well as its highly rigorous academic spirit committed to a culture of innovation. In keeping with this commitment, UConn has authorized 112 projects totaling $3.1 billion and has added four million square feet to its campus since July 2016. Taught by the same faculty that teach traditional face-to-face courses, UConns extensive online program gives students the opportunity to still be integrated on campus while learning from the comfort of their own home. All classes are offered under the universitys eCampus portal, with access to various services such as the UConn Library System and Google Apps. As each individual program has its own deadlines and application requirements, prospective students should go online and click on the desired program from the eCampus course list for more information. Students will then receive an email prior to the start of the semester about how to access the online course.
