The University of South Alabama is a public, national research university in Mobile, Alabama. Founded in 1963, University of South Alabama still stands as the only major public university on the upper Gulf Coast and enrolls over 16,000 students. The University of Nebraska, established in 1869, is a public research university in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is the oldest and largest university in the state and is the flagship university of the University of Nebraska system, which includes four campuses and a two-year technical agricultural college.  The university also offers online programs, such as the RN-to-BSN online advancement program for RNs who have either an Associate Degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing. It is a relatively new university, having only been founded in 1997, however it serves nearly 60,000 students.  Western Governors University’s motto is “Online. Accelerated. Affordable. Accredited.” driving the efficiency and winning it the title of “one of the 50 most innovative companies” in Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies Issue. Not lacking in achievement is the online RN-to-BSN degree that WCU offers, which also works around the student’s schedule.  The average time it takes to finish the RN-to-BSN degree at Western Governors is 18 months. But as the website boasts, “It’s your program. It’s up to you. Founded in 1956, University of Michigan in Flint, Michigan operates as a public university as one of the two University of Michigan satellite campuses. The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, also known as UW Oshkosh, is a public university located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. UW Oshkosh is the third largest university in Wisconsin, serving approximately 14,500 students. The university, founded in 1871, is part of the University of Wisconsin System and offers bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral, and online degrees. UW Oshkosh offers an accredited, Accelerated Online Bachelor’s to BSN Degree. This program is one of the only of its kind and is ideal for students who already have a bachelor’s degree, but are seeking a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Chartered in 1867, University of Illinois Chicago is a state-funded public research university located in Champaign-Urbana in Chicago, Illinois. Fort Hays State University was founded 1902. It is a public university located in Hays, Kansas, serving nearly 15,000 students. Northeastern University

Northeastern University is a private, research university that sits on over 70 acres in Boston, Massachusetts, established in 1898. It is a global university that spans seven continents. Northeastern University also offers a RN-to-BSN online option that allows licensed RNs to further their career in less than three semesters. SUNY College of Technology at Delhi, also called SUNY Delhi, was founded in 1913. It is located in the Catskill Mountains, in the Town of Delhi, New York. SUNY Delhi currently enrolls over 3,600 students. The school is currently focused on offering baccalaureate degrees that build on associate degrees through online degree programs, such as the RN-to-BSN Completion Program. This program is designed for the working RN who is seeking a Bachelor of Science in Nursing through a 100% online program. The University System of Georgia established the University of North Georgia in 2013 after the consolidation of North Georgia College & State University and Gainesville State College. It is also called the Military College of Georgia and serves over 16,000 students. The combined University System has campuses in Dahlonega, Oakwood, Watkinsville, and Cumming, Georgia. The University of North Georgia also offers online classes, including the RN-to-BSN degree for current RNs looking to acquire a baccalaureate degree. Commonly known as ODU, Old Dominion is a public, research university in Norfolk, Virginia. Old Dominion University was established in 1930 as the Norfolk Division of the College of William & Mary and is now one of the largest universities in Virginia. Ohio University

Ohio University is a major U.S. public research university located primarily on a 1,850-acre campus in Athens, Ohio. Chartered in 1804, it is one of the nation’s oldest universities. Georgia College

Georgia College and State University is a public liberal arts university in Milledgeville, Georgia with approximately 7,000 students. Georgia College, chartered in 1889, was designated Georgia’s “Public Liberal Arts University” in 1996, where the name was changed to Georgia College and State University (GCSU). Although GCSU offers traditional degrees through the School of Nursing, it also offers an online RN-to-BSN degree that takes an average of three semesters (or longer, if preferred) to complete. The University of South Dakota is a public research university in Vermillion, South Dakota, and is the oldest public university in the state.
